About Our Facility
Ed "Porky" Oliver Golf Club, Wilmington, Delaware
Ed "Porky" Oliver Golf Club, originally designed in 1901 by Wilfred Reid, was once the site of the Wilmington Country Club. The course is named for Edward Stewart Oliver, Jr. (1916-1961), a well-known professional golfer and native son of Wilmington.
Teaching facilities include a driving range and putting green, but Becky's lessons are not confined strictly to these venues.
Very often Becky takes students to other areas of the golf course for more realistic chipping, pitching, bunker or long game practice. Students who schedule a series of lessons or "coach for a season" can expect some on-course experience. This allows students to play the course and practice essential club selection, alignment and course management skills under Becky's expert tutelage.
