When you get to be a scratch golfer, finding the right teacher is the most important thing. I have been working with Becky for about two years now and it was the best decision I ever made. I played college golf for Methodist University in North Carolina and after graduating and becoming a PGA Professional I decided I wanted to improve my game even further. Since we started working together I have become a more consistent player because my golf swing is more efficient and reliable. Becky’s teaching philosophy is that of simplicity. Many teachers tend to be overly technical and bombard a student with non essential information and focus heavily on the golf swing only. While this is important, Becky takes a holistic approach to your swing and not only analyzes the full swing but also your short game, physical fitness, and the importance of having a positive mental attitude.  The end result of working with someone as enthusiastic as Becky is a student who will have more confidence in his/her golf swing and can lower their handicap significantly.

George

A note from George,
Your coaching helped my game measurably.  Exhibit A- the 4 player team I was on won the four ball scramble!  Now, understand I was on a team with 3 long hitters, two of which probably had single digit handicaps, so I cannot say that I carried the team.  What I did contribute, however, was accuracy.  I played first, and really impressed myself as well as my teammates by more often than not putting the shot dead center on line, whether from the tee or the fairway.  This gave the gorillas a chance to take the high risk long shots.

Further, your sand shot coaching helped too.  On a particular par 5, we had to choose whether to play a ball about 30 yards short but with a straight level shot from the fairway, or, a ball in a shallow green side bunker.  I voted for the fairway chip, but the others preferred the sand shot.  None of them got within twenty feet of the pin.  Mine came out softly, released and rolled to about 10 inches from the cup!

Thanks again for everything!

Thank you for all of your help and your positive approach to teaching. My lessons with you were quite different than any I took in the past, and the things I learned from you have definitely stayed with me longer. I am passing your name on to my friends.

Dot Rooney, Philadelphia

I really enjoy working with Becky.  Unlike previous instructors who added way too many swing thoughts into my game, she worked on making what was working in my game, work better. She also was very helpful in getting me fitted with the proper equipment, which was causing a big problem with consistency.

Sue Schooley, former US Women's Lacrosse Coach

Most golf lessons are about the golf swing. Becky's approach to the game is unique in that she teaches you the whole game. She blends the student's natural physical abilities with mental awareness while having FUN.

I am really encouraged by my game since my lesson! I played  much better in NH and played again yesterday and it was a good round.  It was such a helpful lesson and I learned another good thing -- that is no more experimenting with other pros!!!!

Having Becky as my "Coach for the Season" has improved my game more than any expensive golf school. With her expert guidance, I dropped my handicap more than 10 points and I'm still improving. It's only my second year in the sport, and my golfing friends are so impressed they say I'm on the golf "fast track!" Becky's style of teaching is very natural, upbeat and positive. She doesn't force you to learn rigid mechanics to "fix" something that's wrong. She leads you instead, to find your own natural swing so you can be successful and enjoy the game. Most importantly, we didn't just stand and swing at the driving range. We got out on the course and tackled the situations that always puzzled me in a round of golf. I gladly drove an hour each way for my lessons. It was well worth it!

Becky helped me tremendously with my chipping by keeping it simple. She told me to use my putting stroke with the ball centered and move my shoulders and arms in unison like a pendulum, and no wrists.  It worked! I'm much more confident now chipping onto the green with my wedges and irons.

Ed Feeney, Behavioral Analysis Expert & Consultant to Top Teachers

I judge Becky by what I observe in her, versus what other instructors do with my advice. First, a few words on my background. My expertise is that I am expert in changing human behavior in organizations, with over 50,000 case histories of measurable before-and-after change in large corporations. I made a film with Professor B. F. Skinner, voted the world's most influential psychologist. I am one of the first three people receiving a lifetime achievement award for applying it in organizations.

I know one thing for sure. No one listens to my ideas better than Becky Dengler. Two other characteristics of hers are invaluable:She implements them and she sustains them. Golf students should flock to her. So should instructors. The Wright brothers flying around in the big sky above will probably tip their wings in tribute.
